Training Assistance Program
The Training Assistance Program (TAP-Small Agency & TAP-Milam County) is a nonprofit initiative that supports small Texas law enforcement agencies by reducing financial barriers to critical professional training.

Menger Public Safety Training
Through our partnership with Menger Public Safety Training, TAP will provides professional, high-quality public safety courses to personnel currently serving with Milam County public safety agencies.

What We Do

The Law Enforcement Support Service of Texas (LESSTX) is committed to supporting law enforcement agencies and first responders by providing assistance, essential resources, training, and support. Our mission is to enhance public safety and officer readiness by ensuring first responders have the tools, knowledge, and assistance needed to serve and protect their communities effectively.

Our Mission:

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we support public safety by supporting or enhancing law enforcement agencies’ core and specialty capabilities to serve our communities better.

At our organization, we are dedicated to lessening the burden of government by:

(1) promoting, enhancing, supporting, funding, or conducting law enforcement training; public safety missions or operations; or civilian educational programs and events to increase public safety or police-community relations; and

(2) obtaining, providing, loaning, or maintaining specialty equipment and facilities to support law enforcement agencies' operations, missions, or training.

Our Services:

  • Equipment & Resource Support – Supplying law enforcement agencies with vital gear, technology, and operational resources.
  • Advanced Training & Development – Offering training programs tailored to modern policing needs.
  • Community Engagement & Outreach – Strengthening relationships between officers and the communities they serve.
  • Operational Assistance – Providing assistance with specialty teams to assist in response to public safety operations.
